Job description: Under the general supervision of the Manager of Finance & Operations, the qualified candidate will handle all duties related to the processing and follow-up of the accounts payable process in a high-volume environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Employee must be willing to work individually but also be team-oriented.

Ensures punctual payment of agency’s obligations, as well as preparation and coordination of supporting documentation. Manages several accounts, establishes sub-grants, monitors spending, and maintains spending analyses. Conducts monthly and annual reconciliations of accounts. Prepares internal and external reports as necessary. Develops working knowledge of agency’s newly implemented grants management system. Bachelor’s degree, 15 semester hours in accounting-related courses, and one year of accounting experience; OR an associate’s degree with accounting-related courses and two years of accounting experience; OR a high school diploma and five years related financial experience.

Knowledge of office practices and procedures. Experience with Excel and other Microsoft Office programs. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to be detailed, a self-starter, and work independently.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related finance discipline. Three years of accounting experience, with three years’ experience in state governmental accounting, including with the South Carolina Enterprise Information System (SCEIS). Professional experience in a related area such as accounting, auditing, finance, grant management systems. Knowledge of financial statement preparation, review, and analysis. WHO WE ARE:

Expected salary: $35360 – 65429 per year
