This position is currently located within the Department of Public Safety but will transfer to the Department of Adult Correction when it is established on January 1, 2023.

Reporting directly to the Director, this position is responsible for clerical services. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Composing correspondence with little or no instruction.
  • Processing and acting on confidential information directed to or from the Center Director and will notify staff of meetings and will disburse information.
  • Processing incoming mail for the Administration Section by opening and date stamping before distributing.
  • Communicating clearly, both orally and in writing, with staff, government officials, management, and the general public.
  • Requiring daily public contact and typically scheduling appointments, providing information, following up on inquires, and requesting services.
  • Working with a variety of records and reports in both electronic and hard copy format.
  • Creating basic reports or records independently and may be called upon to enhance more complex reports developed through work groups and committee meetings.
  • Backing up the Accounting Technician to include Asset Inventory.

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week, Monday thru Friday – 8:00 am to 5:00 pm) with .

About the Robeson Confinement in Response to Violation (CRV) Center:

Robeson Confinement in Response to Violation Center is located in Lumberton, North Carolina and houses up to 192 male offenders in a minimum custody facility.

To qualify for this position, applicants must document on the application that they possess ALL of the following:

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and one year of administrative experience
