Internship overview:

As an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Intern, you will be responsible for setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting administrative system tasks in our Microsoft Dynamics ERP system. You will perform system data cleansing tasks while maintaining data integrity, security, and documentation. You’ll support various application systems that work with the ERP system utilizing best practices and upholding company standards. Some support systems include but are not limited to EDI, labeling and reporting (ZPL, XML), networked printers, mobile devices, Microsoft power suite applications (apps, automate, bi). You’ll create SQL and ERP queries by learning ERP data structure to help business users with various information requirements and inquiries.

To ensure success as an ERP Intern, you should be able to demonstrate knowledge of IT infrastructure and the ability to resolve integration issues. You will be collaborating with senior managers to determine which business processes need optimization, enhancing the performance of our enterprise applications systems, and deploying and implementing suitable ERP solutions. You’ll work heavily in business processes like manufacturing execution, engineering change management, accounting, shipping, procurement, sales, marketing, and warehouse management. You will work directly on new system and process implementations.

Internship overview:

This is a paid internship at $17/hour. This position reports to the Enterprise Applications Manager and is based in our St. George, UT office.

Hours are between 20 to 40 per week during business hours, with the possibility of becoming a full-time permanent position.

The focus of the internship includes:

  • Performing user setup and role-based security maintenance tasks
  • Developing rapport with department managers and system users by identifying process needs and providing effective system solutions
  • Conducting and attending meetings with system stakeholders and users to resolve issues, optimize processes, and come up with new processes
  • Utilizing agile methodologies in our Azure Devops environment for projects to develop, improve, correct, implement, and integrate system processes and functions across various applications contributing to ERP functionality
  • Performing periodic data quality checks to ensure data integrity and cleanliness including batch job maintenance and data management checks
  • Learning and become familiar with Microsoft Dynamics Finance and Operations system architecture
  • Documenting system designs, business processes, support solutions, and training material
  • Communicating changes and other pertinent information to system users and team members
  • Help training team members on various enterprise applications involving our ERP system
  • Fielding daily system tickets and troubleshoot user issues
  • Staying up to date on the latest ERP tech and practices to provide optimal solutions and feedback

This internship may be for you if you can:

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. at any given time
  • Occasional bending, crouching, kneeling, and/or sitting in tight spaces will be necessary
  • Able to sit for extended period of time
  • Must be willing to submit to a background check and drug screen upon offer

This job may be for you if you have:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed BS degree in Management Information Systems, Business with a tech emphasis or related degree, or have equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of system administrative practices and principles
  • Strong computer skills are required including familiarity with Windows-based programs such as Microsoft productivity tools (e.g., Excel, Word, and Outlook), including Visio.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proactive attitude and demonstrate ability to be a resourceful self-starter
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments, ensure work is done in a timely and high-quality manner
  • Desire to collaborate with teams in various departments and build rapport

Extra Awesome (not required):

  • Experience with SQL and database design
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics ERP System
  • Knowledge of business processes, manufacturing and e-commerce software
  • Experience with system integrations and API design
  • Experience with Power Apps and Microsoft Power BI
