The Strategy, Digital and Innovation (SDI) team forges the strategic direction of Wells Fargo, provides and manages our digital foundation and common capabilities, and transforms our business models to meet evolving customer needs and grow the company. The investments we are making will help the company create innovative digital banking experiences, and make it easier for customers to achieve their financial goals.

Our Digital Design Innovation team is seeking a Lead Design Research & Strategy Specialist to further our customer centric digital transformation. We are laser focused in understanding and meeting our Commercial Bank & Corporate and Investment Bank (CB/CIB) customer needs so that we can help them grow their businesses.

In this role, you will:

Lead complex initiatives through research and creativity

Investigate behaviors to derive potential strategies to help engage customers

Use words and research define an a subtle path to a comprehensive problem with powerful narratives

Lead a the team to create new optic designs to inspire and address internal partners and engage external clients

Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and mid-level to experienced managers to create strategies to engage the customer

Due to a city-wide mandate in New York City, all individuals who perform in-person work or interact with the public during business must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or qualify for an approved accommodation to be exempt from being fully vaccinated. Currently, this position falls under the scope of this mandate.

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of Website or Application Design experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

Undergraduate and/or Graduate degree in field related to human-computer interaction, information science, or social science

Track record of translating business needs into research questions, and insights into business impact

Strong communication and collaboration skills, and extensive experience partnering seamlessly with cross-functional partners and senior leaders

Advanced skills in a broad range of qualitative research methods, analysis techniques, and research tools

Use sound problem-solving skills and work independently with consistent and high quality results

Rigorous attention to detail, follow-through, and ability to follow established protocols to ensure adherence to all Risk & Compliance procedures

Comfortable with remote conferencing and collaboration tools (Zoom, Skype) and readily adaptable to learning new tools as they are adopted by the team

Comfortable in a fast-paced work environment and responsibilities for managing multiple projects at one time

Research experience in a B2B Enterprise digital software environment, SaaS, Fintech or Commercial / Corporate and Investment Banking required

Expertise in persona creation and syndication

Job Expectations:

This role will not be a telecommuting position and will follow a hybrid office model. Candidates must be willing to work out of one of the following locations approximately 3 days a week.

Pay Range

$100,800.00 – $179,200.00 Annual
