Job description: With our Agency’s mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.

This position will be located at 2100 Charlie Hall Boulevard, Charleston, SC 29414.

Under limited supervision of lead clinical shift administrator exercises independent judgement and discretion to answer incoming crisis calls and provide telephonic crisis intervention services, screening and consultation in a culturally competent manner. State Minimum Requirements: A master’s degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or a related field.

Agency (DMH) Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree from an accredited program, university, or college in psychology, social work, counseling, marriage and family counseling or other behavioral discipline deemed equivalent by SCDMH and one (1) year of post graduate experience in a clinical counseling program.The Department of Administration is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all applicants and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions, including, but not limited, to lactation), national origin, age (40 or older), disability or genetic information.

This position will be assigned to Charleston Dorchester Mental Health Center; SCDMH Mobile Crisis Call Center. No travel required. Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. May be responsible for day and night shifts. This is an essential position in a 24 hour program.

Expected salary: $34331 – 63524 per year
