Job description: Job Responsibilities

This employee will:

• Assist with the Saltwater Recreational Fishing Outreach program, which includes family fishing clinics, fishing tournaments, marine game fish tagging program and other fishing outreach events.
• Assist with the Marine Education program, which includes conducting DNR education programs at the Marine Resources Center, ACE Basin and other department facilities.
• Assist with Coastal Information Distribution System (CIDS) routes.
• Assist other CRO programs as needed and helps maintain equipment.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Excellent public relations skills. Ability to communicate and work well with a broad spectrum of the public. Ability to teach children and have basic knowledge of biological principles, ecology, recreational marine finfish, and the dynamics of coastal South Carolina.

Expected salary: $12 per hour
