Our client, the world’s leading search engine and technology company, is seeking a Research Assistant. This is a 12 month + contract position located in Mountain View, CA.


  • We are seeking an associate Program Manager with research skills to support the user experience operations team, which is responsible for building programs that support researchers and product development across ads products at client.
  • You’ll run the day-to-day operations for the client program for one product. It allows employees to interact with users first-hand to increase empathy in pursuit of product excellence.
  • You will organize and facilitate user sessions that connect client product teams with users to help them build user empathy.


  • Schedule and communicate with program attendees
  • Manage session logistics.
  • Create session materials (e.g., scripts, note taking sheets)
  • Facilitate and moderate sessions.
  • Submit recruitment requests and help manage recruitment for participants for sessions.
  • Take notes and capture session photos.
  • Summarize findings to share out to attendees’ post-session.
  • Administer feedback questionnaires and surveys to employees and users.
  • Liaison with User Researchers to align on session topics and interview scripts.
  • Run day to day logistics for the program and for the Payments team.

  • BA/BS degree in Anthropology, Human Factors, Psychology, HCI/Computer Science or other related fields or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 6 months industry experience conducting user research
  • Detail-oriented and ability to work independently on a variety of tasks.
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Effective interpersonal, communication, negotiation and collaboration skills.
  • Can prioritize time between multiple projects and be flexible by adapting to changing schedules and different projects.
  • Comfortable presenting to and facilitating interactions with large (~20) groups.
  • Proficient with spreadsheets or similar software, and Google Docs.
  • Able to work as a W2 employee of Genesis10 (no Corp-to-Corp).


  • M.A/M.S./Ph.D. (in progress or completed) in Human Factors, Social Sciences, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, Product Design, or another field.
  • 1+ years of relevant work experience in industry.
  • Technical aptitude, familiarity with basic graphic and video editing tools preferred.
  • Experience with one or more of the following methods: usability studies, concept tests, benchmarks, diary studies, interviewing consumers, field research, surveys.
