The successful candidate will be supporting a slate of series and original movies by creating the initial social strategy campaign and partnering with the design and video teams to craft social-first content for a variety of platforms. The ideal candidate is passionate about the entertainment space, stays up to date on the latest social trends, and loves to brainstorm and develop unique social creative. Social Media Manager Pay and Benefits:

  • Hourly pay: $35/hr
  • Worksite: Leading digital broadcasting and media company (Los Angeles, CA 90036 – Open to remote)
  • W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401k
  • 40 hours/week, 12 Month Assignment

Social Media Manager Responsibilities:

  • Craft the initial social media strategy and promotional plan for original movies (on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and more).
  • Collaborate with teams across video, design, marketing, and PR to develop innovative social creative that is optimized for social distribution.
  • Partner with brand social teams in weekly meetings and planning sessions.
  • Maintain a detailed and organized publishing calendar.
  • Support the copywriting, positioning, and publishing of daily social posts.
  • Bring a creative mind to frequent brainstorming sessions to pitch new social content ideas and campaigns that you will then lead from conception to execution.
  • Produce talent, attend set visits, and build relationships with production during on set content capture opportunities.
  • Track & analyze the performance and results of campaigns and initiatives, create social recap reports, and present key learnings to executives and stakeholders.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Social Media Manager Qualifications:

  • 3+ years producing custom social media content while running brand social accounts, preferably in entertainment.
  • BS/BA Degree.
  • Adaptable writing and content style for a range of genres.
  • Experience developing and crafting visuals and video optimized for sharing
  • Deep understanding of publishing on various social platforms and nuances of the end-user experience on each.
  • Keen eye for visual storytelling with ability to use photo and video editing tools to self-serve on content for distribution.
  • A consistent voice that is detailed and a stickler for grammar.
  • Ability to see the broader picture of social as it relates to the streaming landscape.
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about television and pop culture.
  • Great communication skills and ability to articulate concepts.
  • Ability to work against tight deadlines and flexibility to pivot on strategy and execution when necessary.
  • Ability to mine and use social and site data to develop content quickly against social trends.
  • Willingness to work nights and/or weekends if necessary.
  • Must be able to provide samples of prior work.
  • Previous employment with a television network, major studio, or entertainment agency is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Photoshop or basic graphic design skills is preferred.

Expected salary: $35 per hour
